In online applications, all the documents must be in digital format. You can apply for your VISA at least 124 days before the start of your course. The application form for the VISA is available online, and after completing the necessary information, you have to pay 575 AUD as the fee for the application. After the application and payment are successful, you will get a receipt with a TRN number or Transaction Reference Number. With this number, you can quickly check your application status.
Some you also may need a health checkup and VISA interview to get your student VISA. After completing your application, you will get this notification from the authority. Generally, after completing the whole application process, you need more than one to three weeks minimum to get your student VISA to Australia. You can easily track the status of your VISA by using the TRN number.
Once you get your student VISA, you can enter Australia a maximum of 90 days before the start of your course. After entering, you must inform your institution about your accommodation details within seven days. You can stay in Australia for a maximum of 30 to 60 days after the expiry of your student VISA, depending upon your course and tenure of studying. If you want to stay in Australia for a longer time, you can again renew your VISA or get a valid work permit.
